obsei
Obsei is an open-source, low-code, AI-powered automation tool for unstructured text. It has three parts. The Observer collects data from sources such as Twitter, Reddit comments, Facebook posts, app store, Google and Amazon reviews, news and websites. The Analyzer applies AI tasks such as classification, sentiment analysis, translation and PII detection. The Informer sends results to ticketing platforms, data stores, dataframes and other destinations so people can act on them.
Install with `pip install obsei[all]` or pick extras to keep it small: `obsei[analyzer]` pulls in PyTorch, and there are extras for Twitter, Pandas/CSV, Elasticsearch, Jira (Atlassian API) and Slack. The README shows Python snippets for each source and destination, runs on Python 3.7 or later, and offers a hosted demo on Hugging Face Spaces. Typical uses are monitoring customer feedback, routing negative reviews to a support queue and masking personal data before storage.
Read the status note: the README says Obsei is still in alpha, should be used carefully in production, and that the master branch can contain breaking changes, so pin a released version. Licensing is Apache 2.0 overall, with other permissive or weak-copyleft licences for third-party components, and the project says it avoids components under strong copyleft licences such as GPL or AGPL. Last push was 2026-10-09. This review is based on the README and repository data; we have not run it ourselves.
