Telegram Search is a tool for backing up and searching your own Telegram messages. The README's motivation is that Telegram cannot search Chinese chat history well and important messages get buried; this project does local tokenisation for any language and adds vector search for fuzzy, sentence-level matching. It can export chat history to PGlite or PostgreSQL, back up media to MinIO object storage automatically, embed and tokenise messages while exporting, and sync new conversations in real time.

Search combines fuzzy matching with vector semantic search, plus RAG question answering over your own message history, and an unread-message summary that condenses all unread messages. The roadmap lists conversation summaries, a people-and-events knowledge graph, link and image indexing with OCR, a Telegram Bot, and support for Discord and other platforms. You can use the hosted demo, run it with Docker Compose (database, MinIO and the app start together, then open localhost:3333) or a single Docker image, or use a browser-only mode for development. The README warns that it is for exporting and searching your own chats only and that the project has issued no cryptocurrency. It is AGPL-3.0 licensed.
