About AgentIndex
AgentIndex.app is a directory of AI tools for developers. It currently lists 2,789 open-source projects across 16 categories, including AI agent frameworks, MCP servers, RAG and knowledge bases, workflow automation, browser automation and developer tooling. The site is run by an independent developer, and its goal is to help you find, compare and start using the right tool faster.
How tools are collected
Most listings come from automated searches of GitHub. We look for public repositories by topics and keywords such as mcp-server, model-context-protocol, ai-agent, multi-agent and llm-workflow, with a minimum star threshold to filter out projects that are clearly inactive or too early.
Developers can also suggest a GitHub repository through the Submit Tool page. Submissions may be reviewed before they appear in the directory.
Where the information comes from
Repository metadata such as stars, license and last update date comes directly from GitHub and is refreshed automatically once a day.
Tool summaries, key features, use cases, categories and tags are drafted with AI assistance from each project's public README and repository information. They can be inaccurate or out of date, so please check the official documentation before adopting a tool.
The ranking score is based mainly on stars and recent maintenance activity, with a small adjustment for how clearly the summary, features and use cases describe the project. It is used for ordering only and is not an endorsement of quality.

AgentIndex is not affiliated with Anthropic, OpenAI, Microsoft or other companies. Trademarks and project names belong to their respective owners. The site is supported by advertising, sponsored placements and voluntary donations; sponsored content is clearly labeled and does not change organic rankings.
