paperclip
Paperclip is a Node.js server with a React UI that orchestrates a team of AI agents around business goals. The README's framing is that if OpenClaw is an employee, Paperclip is the company: on the surface it looks like a task manager, and underneath it has org charts, budgets, governance, goal alignment and agent coordination. It is not an agent framework; agents bring their own prompts, models and runtimes.
Any agent that can receive a heartbeat can join, with adapters for OpenClaw, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, OpenCode, Pi, Hermes, Grok Build and Kimi Code, plus custom processes and HTTP endpoints. Tasks link up to project and company goals so agents get the context behind their work. Heartbeats wake agents for assigned work or schedules, and delegation flows along the org chart. Budgets at company, agent and project level alert and pause work at limits, and review and approval stages let you pause, reassign or stop work.
Other features include multi-organization deployments, task threads with files and run history, Skill Studio with saved test inputs and version restore, scheduled routines triggered by API or webhook, artifacts with inline comments, ready-made team templates and app connections such as GitHub, Notion and Railway. It is self-hosted with no account required: npx paperclipai@latest onboard --yes on Node.js 24.11+. Anonymous telemetry is on by default and can be disabled. MIT licensed.
