switch
Switch turns each channel in Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, Telegram or Mattermost into a room where a team and its AI teammates work with shared context. Rather than a single bot you ask questions, agents join conversations with their own roles, instructions and tools such as Google Workspace, Jira and GitHub, and an agent only sees the rooms it belongs to.
Any agent that speaks its protocol can join: a Claude Code agent on your laptop, a colleague's Codex agent, or a LangChain agent on a server. The README lays out levels of adoption, from working on a feature with a colleague and your agent in one channel, to manager agents that open channels and bring in the right people and agents, to triage channels where an agent files incoming requests. Its demo shows an incident where an agent opens a channel, pulls the error rate and finds the deploy behind it.
Getting started means installing the Switch Console desktop app for macOS, Windows or Linux and talking to switch-buddy, an assistant that creates your first agents and channels and connects your chat app. It is self-hosted so the team's context stays with the company. Guardrails and cost reporting are separate offerings (Switch Trust and Switch ROI). The license is Apache 2.0 plus Commons Clause.
