Awesome Cursor Rules is a community-maintained collection of .cursorrules files, the project-level instruction files that tell the Cursor AI editor how to write code for a given project. The README explains why they matter: customised AI behaviour, consistency with your coding standards, project context, less manual editing, and shared guidance across a team.
The rules are grouped by area: frontend frameworks and libraries, backend and full-stack, mobile development, CSS and styling, state management, database and API, testing, hosting and deployments, build tools, language-specific rules, documentation and utilities, followed by a directory section. You copy the file you need into your project root as .cursorrules. The repository is released under CC0-1.0 and its sponsorship block lists Warp, CodeRabbit and Unblocked.
