Firecrawl MCP Server is the official MCP server for Firecrawl, bringing web search, scraping and page interaction to MCP-compatible AI agents as clean, agent-ready content. Instead of handing raw HTML to a model, it returns pages as Markdown or as JSON that matches a schema you supply.
It suits agents that need reliable web data: research assistants, coding agents looking up documentation or GitHub issues, and pipelines that monitor pages. The README explains when to use each tool: `firecrawl_scrape` for a known URL, `firecrawl_map` to discover a site's URLs, `firecrawl_crawl` for many pages with limits and path filters, `firecrawl_search` for ranked web results (optionally with content), `firecrawl_interact` to click or type before reading a page, monitor tools for scheduled change detection, and a deep-research agent. A search index built for coding agents covers GitHub issues, merged pull requests, READMEs and docs. It supports Firecrawl Cloud and self-hosted Firecrawl, with automatic retries and rate limiting.
Getting started: get a Firecrawl API key (or point it at a self-hosted instance), then install with `npm install -g firecrawl-mcp` or run it with npx from your MCP client configuration. With default settings it registers 27 tools; environment variables can trim the list.
