ComfyUI-Copilot is an AI assistant built into ComfyUI from Alibaba International Digital Commerce. It supports building workflows, answering ComfyUI questions, optimising parameters and iterating. Version 2.0, announced in August 2025, is described as moving from a helper tool to a development partner that can complete workflow tasks itself, covering generation, debugging, rewriting and parameter tuning, and being aware of your local ComfyUI environment.

The README lists core features: generating a first workflow from a text description (three workflows from a library plus one AI-generated), one-click debugging that analyses errors, fixes parameter and connection problems and prompts you to download missing models, rewriting a workflow from a description, a GenLab tab for batch parameter tuning with visual comparison, node recommendations, a node query system and model recommendations for base models and LoRAs. It gives practical cautions: models released after May 2025 (such as Wan 2.2) may confuse the LLM, rewrites carry a lot of context so you should clear context often, and parameter tuning needs a workflow that already runs. The code is MIT licensed.

This write-up is based on the project's README and public repository data. We have not hand-tested the tool. Data as of 2026-10-10.

Features

01Generate First Version Workflows
02Automated Workflow Debugging
03Workflow Rewriting and Optimization
04Parameter Tuning and Visual Comparison
05Context-aware Node Recommendations
02

Why choose it

+Generates, debugs and rewrites ComfyUI workflows from plain-language descriptions.
+One-click debug finds parameter and connection errors and prompts you to download missing models.
+GenLab runs batches of parameter combinations and shows visual comparisons.
+Node and model recommendations plus a node query system help you learn unfamiliar nodes; MIT licensed.
03

Trade-offs

!The README warns that models released after May 2025 (for example Wan 2.2) may confuse the LLM and interrupt generation.
!Rewriting a workflow carries a lot of context, so you need to clear context often to avoid interruptions.
!Parameter tuning in GenLab only works if the workflow already runs correctly, and it depends on an LLM service for the assistant features.
