EAC-Desktop
EAC-Desktop, short for Embracing All Creation, is an open-source desktop workbench built on DeepSeek Harness. It connects chat, project files, tool execution and the DSH plugin ecosystem in a native window, and bundles Node.js, npm and the dsh runtime so ordinary use does not require installing Node.js separately.
The architecture has three layers: a Rust Tauri shell for windows, tray and single-instance handling; a Node sidecar that prepares the environment, profiles, processes and plugins; and the Harness kernel that runs the agent, tools and web UI. They talk over stdio JSON-RPC, and an environment layer called DPX separates data paths and runtime variables per release channel.
Day to day you start tasks in a working directory, review and restore file changes, manage context compression on long sessions, and install, enable or roll back plugins from a protection center with snapshots and health checks. Skins install from a marketplace. Windows is on v6.0.0, while the Linux (v5.3.6) and macOS arm64 (v5.1.0) builds lag behind. The README is primarily in Chinese with an English version, and the project is MIT licensed.
