IoT DC3 is an open-source industrial IoT platform that decouples devices from applications: protocol drivers push normalized point data onto a message bus, and applications consume it through one API. It ships 36 driver modules, covering industrial protocols such as Modbus TCP/RTU, OPC UA and DA, Siemens S7, BACnet/IP, EtherNet/IP, IEC 60870-5-104, IEC 61850 and DNP3, and IoT protocols such as MQTT, CoAP, LwM2M, BLE, Zigbee and LoRaWAN. A Driver SDK lets you write and register your own.

The AI layer is an Agentic Center built on Spring AI, plus an MCP tool gateway with OAuth client registration so external agents can query devices and run actions in what the project describes as a safe, controllable and traceable loop. Persistence uses PostgreSQL with TimescaleDB, pgvector and Apache AGE, with an optional observability stack.

It is a six-layer Java 21 / Spring Boot microservice system started with Podman or Docker Compose, with Swarm scaling and documentation in several languages. GitHub reports the license as unrecognised; the README badge says AGPL-3.0, so check the LICENSE file before commercial use.
