meta-ads-mcp
Meta Ads MCP lets an AI assistant manage Meta advertising: launch campaigns, upload creatives, update ads and read insights. It is the Meta node of the Pipeboard MCP family, five remote servers (Meta, Google, TikTok, Snap and Reddit) with 230+ tools in total, plus a Pipeboard CLI. The Meta server lists 42 tools covering campaigns, ad sets, ads, creatives including dynamic creative testing, image upload, insights and targeting by interest, behaviour, demographics and geography.
The recommended route is the hosted remote MCP at `https://meta-ads.mcp.pipeboard.co/`, added to Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, Perplexity or another client after connecting your ad accounts at pipeboard.co. There is also the Go-based Pipeboard CLI (`brew install pipeboard-co/tap/pipeboard`) with a token, and a local installation for technical users with tokens cached on your machine. The README says the project is independent open source built on Meta's public APIs, while the hosted service is a Meta Business Partner with an approved Meta app.
Licensing needs attention. It uses the Business Source License 1.1: free to use, modify and redistribute, with the restriction that you cannot offer it as a competing hosted service, and the README says it converts to Apache 2.0 on January 1, 2029. GitHub shows NOASSERTION because BSL is not a standard open-source licence. Last push was 2026-09-23. This review is based on the README and repository data; we have not run it ourselves.
