openstatus
openstatus is an open-source platform that combines status pages and uptime monitoring, available as a managed service or self-hosted. Status pages support custom domains, password protection, maintenance windows and subscriber notifications by email and RSS. Monitoring checks servers, websites and APIs in parallel from 28 global regions across three cloud providers, and alerts go to Slack, Discord, PagerDuty, email and other channels when something is down or slow.
The README stresses flat pricing with unlimited members, an AGPL-3.0 licence, and private locations that run in a single 8.5 MB Docker image. Everything in the dashboard is also reachable through a typed API with a Node SDK, a CLI (interactive for humans, `--json` for agents, with YAML monitoring as code), Terraform, and an MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other clients, all sharing one API key. Docker is the recommended way to start, with a guide for self-hosting on Coolify.
