PilotDeck
PilotDeck is an open-source agent operating system designed around the idea of a WorkSpace, jointly developed by Tsinghua University's THUNLP and partners and open-sourced in May 2026. The README starts from a gap it sees in agent tools: coding agents and cowork products handle one-shot programming or immediate questions well, but long-running, multi-project work raises questions such as whether memory can be white-box and traceable, so that when the AI is wrong you can find and edit the memory entry responsible without starting a new chat.
Its answer is WorkSpace-level isolation, where each project gets its own file system, memory store and skill set so parallel work does not interfere and skills accrete as tasks grow, and traceable white-box memory where generation, extraction, storage and retrieval are visible end to end, with a Dream Mode that consolidates memory in idle windows and supports rollback. Install on macOS or Linux with a one-line script that installs Node.js 22, clones the repository, installs dependencies and builds the frontend, then run `pilotdeck` to start the server at localhost:3001. A live demo, tutorial and source-based workflow are available. The code is AGPL-3.0 licensed.
