Conductor is a platform created by Netflix to orchestrate workflows that span microservices. Workflows can be defined in JSON or in code, with SDKs for several languages kept in a separate conductor-sdk organisation, and community-contributed modules live in the conductor-community repository. The server is a Spring Boot project that runs from Docker containers or from source.

Important for anyone choosing it today: the README announces that effective 13 December 2023 Netflix discontinued maintenance of Conductor OSS on GitHub, so this repository is no longer maintained and its final release is already published. The README says members of the Conductor community have been promoting alternative forks, which are where continued development happens. The last update to this repository is from December 2023.

This write-up is based on the project's README and public repository data. We have not hand-tested the tool. Data as of 2026-10-24.
