agent-assh
assh is an SSH tool built for LLM agents. It prepares SSH access, opens a persistent tmux session on the server and avoids dragging large output into the agent's context: commands first return compact JSON metadata with a session id, and the agent then reads only the lines it needs with paginated reads. The README is written in Russian, with an English version alongside.
The connect command creates or reuses a dedicated key (~/.ssh/id_agent_ed25519), tries key login first and uses a password from an environment variable only if that fails, installs the public key, checks server capabilities and installs tmux non-interactively unless told not to. The session commands cover exec and read, background jobs, process and service management, Docker ps, logs and exec, read-only MySQL and PostgreSQL queries, and a watch mode so a human can observe the agent's tmux session. Other commands handle file transfer and sync, port forwarding, parallel execution across hosts, and a JSON host inventory (OS, CPU, memory, disk, uptime). It installs with npm i -g agent-assh.
