Astron Agent is described as an enterprise-grade, commercial-friendly agentic workflow development platform that brings together AI workflow orchestration, model management, AI and MCP tool integration, RPA automation and team collaboration. It is built on the same core technology as the iFLYTEK Astron Agent Platform, and the README says a fully available high-availability version is open source under Apache 2.0, with no commercial restrictions.

Highlighted features are enterprise-grade high availability with one-click deployment, intelligent RPA integration for cross-system process automation so agents can act as well as decide, a ready-to-use tool ecosystem drawn from the iFLYTEK Open Platform, and flexible large-model support from quick API access to on-premises deployment of enterprise MaaS. Two deployment methods are documented: Docker Compose, where you copy and edit an .env file and start the services together with the Casdoor authentication service, and Helm for Kubernetes. A hosted Astron Cloud option and documentation are also linked, and the README is available in English and Simplified Chinese.

Trade-offs

!A full deployment starts several services together with the Casdoor authentication service and needs a configured .env file, so it is a heavy install.
!Much of the ready-to-use tool ecosystem comes from the iFLYTEK Open Platform, which ties some capabilities to that vendor's services.
!The product is aimed at enterprise deployments rather than quick personal experiments.
