awesome-gamedev-agent-skills
awesome-gamedev-agent-skills packages game-development knowledge as Agent Skills: plain SKILL.md folders that coding agents load on demand. Despite the 'awesome' name it is not a link list but 76 written skills, organised as engine skills (Godot, Unity, Unreal, Ebitengine, web engines and others), 15 cross-engine disciplines, 9 genre templates and 4 shipping workflows.
The central piece is a router skill. It detects the engine from project files such as project.godot or *.uproject, asking if it cannot tell, then reads the request for a concept, genre or shipping step and loads only the matching skills, engine basics first. Asking to add a double jump to a Godot player loads godot-2d-movement and platformer and nothing else, which keeps context small.
Each skill states the engine release it targets, for example Godot 4.7, Unity 6.3 LTS and Unreal 5.8, and must pass a validator script before merge. Installation is one npx skills add command that detects your agent, or the repository can be added as a Claude Code plugin marketplace with per-engine bundles. It also includes an art-direction workflow for producing consistent game assets.
