E2B
E2B is open-source infrastructure for running AI-generated code in secure, isolated sandboxes in the cloud. Instead of letting an agent execute code on your own machine or servers, you create a sandbox with one SDK call, run commands or code inside it, read the results, and discard it when you are done.
It suits developers building agents that need to execute code: data-analysis assistants, coding agents, tools that run generated scripts, and computer-use agents. The base SDK runs commands; the Code Interpreter SDK adds a `run_code` interface for stateful code execution; and the Desktop SDK provides a full desktop with mouse, keyboard, screenshots, application launching and streaming for computer-use agents. SDKs are available for Python and JavaScript/TypeScript, and the runtime can be self-hosted following the deployment guide.
Getting started: sign up for an API key, `pip install e2b` (or `npm i e2b`), set `E2B_API_KEY`, then create a `Sandbox` and run a command. Add `e2b-code-interpreter` or `e2b-desktop` for code execution or computer use.
