bytechef
ByteChef is an open-source, low-code, extendable API integration and workflow automation platform. The README gives two uses: as an automation solution that connects SaaS apps, internal APIs and databases, and as an embedded solution, where you build integrations into your own SaaS product so customers can connect the apps they use.
Features it lists: a visual drag-and-drop workflow editor; event-driven and scheduled triggers; flow controls such as condition, switch, loop, each and parallel; a built-in code editor for workflow definitions in JSON and code blocks in Java, JavaScript, Python and Ruby; over 200 built-in components for databases, SaaS apps, internal APIs and cloud storage; custom connectors in Java, JavaScript, Python or Ruby; built-in AI components for running AI models; workflows exposed as APIs with authentication handled by the platform; and pushing workflows to Git from the UI.
It is self-hosted. The quickest start is to download `docker-compose.yml` and run `docker compose up`, which starts PostgreSQL and ByteChef; the README also gives a manual Docker setup. Then you create an account in the browser (port 8080) and build a project and workflow in the UI. The license is Apache 2.0, and the repository was last pushed on 2026-10-12. This review is based on the README and repository data; we have not run it ourselves.
