bitterbot-desktop
Bitterbot is an MIT-licensed personal agent that runs on your own machine and keeps context across conversations. It works through a real browser, code execution, scheduled jobs and durable tasks, and you talk to it through its Control UI or WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, Signal, Slack or email. Its memory, identity and skills are stored in files and SQLite you can inspect, back up and correct, and you choose the model.
Between conversations a dream engine consolidates memories, prepares briefs and feeds a pipeline that proposes reusable skills, which have to pass tests before they are kept. Circles connect you with people you know and their own agents. Install with a one-line signed installer on macOS and Linux, through WSL2 on Windows, with Docker, or via npm. The README is candid about maturity: the native desktop shell is experimental, and an opt-in economic layer with USDC wallets, x402 payments and a skill marketplace is early and has not had a third-party audit.
