agenta
Agenta is an open-source workspace for building specialized agents that automate parts of a team's work, aimed at IT ops, go-to-market, HR, legal, finance and support rather than coding. You build an agent by chatting with it: describe the work, connect the apps it needs, and improve it through feedback. The README is explicit that it is not a coding environment, a single-user assistant or a low-code workflow builder.
Agents are multiplayer by default, with roles and shared sessions, and can be used in the web app or in Slack, Telegram and WhatsApp Business. Automations run them on a schedule or on events from connected apps, with a history for every run. Each agent gets its own browser and file system, and each session runs in an isolated sandbox where model credentials are never shown to the agent. Permissions per agent control which tools it can use and whether it may read or write.
Integrations come through MCP or 1,000+ apps via Composio. Agents can run on Claude or ChatGPT subscriptions or on any model, including Ollama, and support Claude Code, Pi and Codex as harnesses. Every run is traced and every cost tracked. Agenta Cloud is the quickest start; self-hosting uses an agent skill installed with npx skills add Agenta-AI/agenta-skills. MIT licensed.
