CodeMachine is a CLI orchestration engine that runs coordinated multi-agent workflows on your own machine. You install it with `npm install -g codemachine`, run `codemachine` in a project, put requirements in `.codemachine/inputs/specifications.md` and run `/start`. It then produces a system blueprint, step-by-step plans, code, test and deployment automation, and validation checks.

It does not call models directly: it drives agent CLIs. The README lists Codex CLI, Claude Code, Claude Code Router, OpenCode, Cursor CLI and Auggie CLI as supported, with Gemini CLI and Qwen Coder marked coming soon. You can give different engines different roles, for example one model for planning, another for implementation and a third for review, and run sub-agents in parallel for workflows that last hours or days.

The README says 90% of CodeMachine's own codebase was generated by CodeMachine, and that it was used on a 60,000-line ESG platform; these are the author's claims. It also states clearly that the project is in early development and not ready for production. GitHub does not detect a licence, and our data shows the last push on 2026-02-25.
