MaiBot
MaiBot, whose character is called MaiSaka, is an LLM-based chat agent that started as extra features for a QQ group bot and grew into a full rewrite. Its stated design principle is to be lifelike rather than merely helpful: it does not aim for efficiency or perfect answers.
In practice that means short, casual replies instead of long markdown-formatted answers, judging when to join a conversation and when to stay quiet, imitating how people in a group talk and picking up new slang, and gradually building an understanding of each person's preferences and habits based on personality theory. A plugin API and event system allow extensions, and related projects let it stream on Bilibili.
It requires Python 3.12+, is licensed GPL-3.0 with a separate EULA and privacy policy, and offers a one-click launcher for Windows and Mac. Documentation and community support groups are mainly Chinese.
